Building a knowledge based business
At the moment I am having my thatched cottage on the Isle of Wight re-thatched (don’t even ask me what that costs). The guy that is doing it has been a thatcher for 30+ years, and like some of us, the years are starting to tell (aches and pains).
Recently I suggested to him that he could turn his business into a knowledge based business and he could teach people all over the world the art and craft of thatching. He could use video to deliver talks, demo’s, check lists, and reports. So he could do this while living anywhere in the world and even continue to earn significant money when he had retired.
He could upload all his training to our HUB. Set up the automatic payments and then market his new service online using social media, email marketing, PPC advertising, etc., all from the Hub.
I am not sure if he will do it or not, but this form of online knowledge based training is now a billion dollar-per-day industry, and many people are making lots of money doing it.
A good example is:
The lady I know who set up her own knowledge based training business ten years ago training women entrepreneurs how to grow their businesses, and she now has 38,000 members paying her £35 per month. That is £1,330,000 per month, in case you are wandering.
Now I know that is not enough to live on, but it is a good start! 😂
Another guy I know was a Palates instructor in Southsea. He used to get about 20 people to attend his twice weekly sessions. Then Covid hit, and no more classes.
I suggested to him that he should take his classes worldwide, delivering them both live on Zoom and recorded on an online knowledge based training. He did this and increased the number of people attending his training from 40 per week to over 500 per week.
My last example is a chef who earns £20,000 per month teaching his skills on his online cookery programme.
However, there are millions of other people doing great things.
So if you would like a small part of this pie, then get in touch. Book a meeting here.
