Here it is, and I have spent 30+ years learning which screw to turn in the marketing world.

One day the main depot of FedEx in Memphis broke down.

There was a fault somewhere in the system. During the next 30 minutes, planes were delayed, lorries were held up and the whole Amex system was crashing, costing the company $1,000s every second. The head of operations called in the consultant engineer. He is the expert who can fix it!

The consultant arrives, he takes a look around, then he walks over to a junction box on the wall. He gets out a screwdriver and turns a screw three turns. The whole place comes alive, and everything is working perfectly.

The head of operations is impressed. “Is that’s it?” he asks.

“Yes,” the consultant engineer replies. The head of operations says ‘fantastic’ and ‘well done’. He asks how much he owes, and the consultant says $10,000.

The Head of Operations eyes widen! “$10,000″! But it only took you 10 seconds!” The consultant engineer smiles. “You’re paying $1 for the 10 seconds it took me to do the job and $9,999 for the 30+ years it took me to know which screw to turn.”

I once made someone £5,000,000 with 10 minutes of my advice. It once took me a whole day to make another client £42,000,000. My advice may not take long.
My advice and value is not measured in hours; it’s measured in results.
